Learn More About Anthurium
Choosing the Right Anthurium
Anthuriums are indoor flowering plants with glossy leaves and heart-shaped spathes in red, pink, or white. Choose healthy plants with fresh green leaves and shiny flowers. They are perfect as indoor décor.
Soil & Bed Preparation
They like light, airy soil similar to orchids. Mix cocopeat, bark chips, charcoal, and compost for good drainage. Use wide pots with holes.
Sunlight & Placement
Anthuriums prefer bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight burns the leaves. Indoors, place near a bright window but avoid harsh rays.
Watering & Care
Water when the topsoil feels slightly dry. They love humidity, so mist the leaves often. Avoid letting roots sit in water.
Tools & Support
Fertilize every 3–4 weeks with a liquid fertilizer for flowering plants. Remove yellow leaves and faded flowers. Keep leaves clean by wiping with a damp cloth.
Growth & Harvest
Anthuriums bloom almost year-round if cared for properly. Each flower lasts weeks. They’re long-living and make excellent indoor flowering companions.
